The blackthorn shaft has plenty of natural character, including numerous bumps and knobbles left behind where the thorns once grew. These give the stick a rugged, unmistakably Irish appearance and make each section of the shaft completely individual.

The stick is fitted with a beautifully grained Chilean beech handle, creating a striking contrast with the dark, natural character of the blackthorn. The handle has been carefully shaped and finished to give a comfortable grip while retaining the handmade character of the piece.
