A beautifully handcrafted walking stick combining Irish hazel with a striking red oak handle and contrasting Padauk and holly spacers.

The shaft is made from naturally grown hazel, a traditional Irish wood that has been used for walking sticks for generations. The natural character of the hazel is left visible, giving the stick a simple, rustic appearance while retaining the strength and flexibility that make hazel such a popular choice for walking sticks.

The handle has been carefully shaped from red oak, creating a comfortable and distinctive grip while adding a rich contrast to the lighter hazel shaft.

Between the handle and shaft are two decorative spacers made from Padauk and holly. The deep reddish colour of the Padauk sits beautifully against the pale natural colour of the holly, creating a striking detail that brings the different timbers together.

Every part of this walking stick has been individually worked and finished by hand in my workshop in Ireland. The natural markings, grain and character of the wood make this a completely unique piece.
