Every now and then a truly extraordinary piece of Irish blackthorn comes along, and this is one of them.

This exceptional stick features an enormous naturally formed root handle with deep contours, old thorn knuckles and decades of character preserved in the wood. The bark has been carefully finished to enhance its rich, dark tones while retaining the rugged appearance that makes Irish blackthorn so distinctive.

Measuring just over 40 inches in length and over 1.5 inches thick, this is an impressively substantial walking stick. Weighing approximately 3 lb ,it is one of the heaviest Irish blackthorn sticks I have finished, giving it an incredibly solid feel in the hand.

Every bump, knot and scar tells the story of its growth, making this a genuine one-of-a-kind piece that simply cannot be replicated. Whether admired as a functional walking stick or collected as a striking example of traditional Irish blackthorn craftsmanship, this is a stick that commands attention.

Note this Shillelagh does not have a ferrule.
