Genuine Irish Ten Pence Deich bPingin Coin (demonetized and withdrawn from circulation) with Salmon curved to form a Walking Stick Mount Badge. Shown larger than actual size. The coin diameter is 28.5 millimetres, and the weight is 11.3 grams (a bit smaller than a U.S. Half Dollar) A perfect gift for the fishing enthusiast. The side of the coin selected for this walking stick badge features the salmon because the fishing industry is important to Irish economy, the year of issue and the inscription "Eire" the Irish for Ireland. The obverse of the coin is the Harp. Introduced in 1928 and demonetized and withdrawn from circulation in 1994. The coin is shaped to fit a 7/8 to 1 1/8" inch diameter shaft.
