Made in Ireland of genuine 300 million years old Connemara marble. 10" Cylindrical bead Irish Single-Decade Rosary. An Paidrin Beag, 18th Century Penal Cross approximately (7/8" x 2") is made of plate metal. Very beautiful and unusual rosary...used in penal times in Ireland, these beads were used as a substitute for the full length Rosary beads, in order to avoid detection by oppressors whilst in prayer. Rosary arrives on card with the Story of the Irish Rosary, Method of Saying, and brief history of the Celtic Cross.
